Linda Kilian is an established performer in South Africa. Her latest album “My Hart” has been nominated for a Kyknet Ghoema award as Best Rock album for 2018. It is a mature rock album with striking, original songs that complement Linda’s distinctive rock voice and style. The songs in the album have strong, meaningful lyrics written by leading songwriters in South Africa and Europe. The singer is regular performer at festivals across South Africa including the KKNK, AARDKLOP, Innibos, Lentefeeste.
Linda covered the 2014 Eurovision entry from Sweden – Undo of Sanna Nielsen as Hoor jy my. She also covered several other Sanna songs, mostly Swedish selection songs. Other Euro covers were done in duets with different partners and all in English: 2016 Denmark – Soldiers of love with Lufuno, Lithuania 2015 – I feel love with Rian Swanepoel and Sweden 2003 – Give me your love with Ruhan du Toit (Touch of Class). In 2015 she was awarded as “Best Newcomer” at “Voices For Charity” Awards by Eurovision South Africa also bringing Fredrik Kempe “Hero Award for Best Swedish Cover of the Year”.
Her Afrimusic entry is again composed by Swedes: Ylva Linda Persson who had 40 entries in Eurovision preselections of 17 nations across Europe. This year the twins had songs that made it through to the live shows of national selections in Moldova, Serbia and Lithuania.
Linda also had the honor to be a co writer on a book called “GOD IS GROOT”
